Cairns Airport was buzzing with excitement early this morning as the first of almost 4,000 Chinese New Year visitors arriving into Cairns direct from China touched down to a lively, colourful and very enthusiastic welcome.
Twelve Chinese New Year flights coming into Cairns Airport’s International Terminal this week will be greeted by the traditional Chinese Lion Dancers and a red packet blessing will be offered to every passenger, while specially appointed Chinese Liaison Officers will be on hand to provide any assistance that may be required.
