Cairns Airport welcomed members of the CQ University Cairns Taipans to the aerodrome apron yesterday to mark an extension of their partnership.
Cairns Airport Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Brown, was on hand to welcome the Taipans players, who took the rare opportunity to play some two-on-two on the airport apron.
Cairns Airport is proud to support the Taipans in a third year of sponsorship for the team.
They are the only national sporting organisation based in Cairns and are excellent ambassadors for our region as they travel Australia and New Zealand for away games, while their home games put Cairns well and truly in the spotlight.
The Taipans have a high level of engagement within the local community and that is also a strong focus for Cairns Airport’s sponsorship program. Our partnership adds to Cairns Airport’s extensive community engagement portfolio which includes a range of events, initiatives and programs that benefit our region.
