Protected Industrial Action (PIA) for Australian Border Force employees may be occurring at Cairns Airport’s T1 (International Terminal) at any time from Monday 26th September – Sunday 16th October, 2016.
It is uncertain what the impact will be on passengers as a result of the action. As a precaution it is recommended that people flying out of Cairns on international flights during this period ensure they arrive at the airport around an hour earlier than they usually would and that people coming to the airport to meet passengers on international flights remember that there could be some delays with inbound border processes.
