North Queensland Airport Corporation is pleased to announce it has appointed Luis Perez as its new Chief Commercial Officer - Aviation.
Mr Perez will be responsible for growing airline services and passenger numbers to Cairns and Mackay Airports by working with airlines and the tourism industry.
An international aviation executive, Mr Perez has over twenty years experience in airline, strategy and commercial management roles and has a deep understanding of travel, trade, tourism and route development.
Luis has had an extensive career that has included roles leading air service development at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Houston Airport Quito, Ecuador and Vancouver. He has significant experience in passenger airline and cargo operations as well as air service and route development. He has an impressive record in airports and airport consulting and an extensive understanding of route development and markets.
NQA chief executive officer Norris Carter said he was delighted to welcome Luis to the Cairns and Mackay Cairns Airport Teams.
“Luis brings with him a wealth of experience developing successful air service strategies to retain and expand airline passenger traffic. The international experience he brings will enhance our capacity to attract new airlines and grow our international routes.”
Luis Perez said, “I’m excited to be joining the NQA team. The airports have great ambitions for travel, freight and tourism for North Queensland and I’m excited about the prospect of bringing them to reality.”
Mr Perez will start work with North Queensland Airport Corporation in late July.
